Hees
De Hees te Vlierden Het gehucht de Hees onder Vlierden, dat in feite steeds uit √©âˆš©n of hooguit twee boerderijen bestond, werd voor het eerst in 1326 vermeld.

Bij de uitgifte van de gemeente Vlierden door de hertog van Brabant in 1326 is er sprake van een doorwaadbare plaats door de Oude Aa, vermeld als Bruystens vonder van Heese. Deze vonder of bruf is waarschijnlijk genoemd naar de toenmalige of nog vroegere grondeigenaar daar ter plaatse. Eeuwenlang bleef dezelfde familie, die zich later Verhees ging noemen, op de boerderij wonen. In 1433 bestond de boerderij uit het huis, het bakhuis, de schaapskooi, de schuur en een moestuin. Veel leden van dit geslacht speelden een prominente rol in de dorpspolitiek of binnen de kerkelijke historie van Vlierden. Vanaf de eerste helft van de 18e eeuw stonden er twee huizen, die door andere families bewoond werden.
