Mede-oprichter van de firma Burckhardt & Im-Hof, later de firma Im-Hof & Andres, exporthandel in katoen (1871-1874). Daarna wijnkoper te 's-Gravenhage. In 1888 vertrok hij naar Gelnhausen.
