Frans komt in de archieven voor als Frans Goijaarts en als Frans Goijertsz van Hasselt.
In 1656 worden Frans Goijaarts, Jan Fransen en Willem Jansen, als de gezworenen (schepenen) van
Rosmalen, het "slachtoffer" van ene Jan Pickenie uit Rosmalen. Hij pleegt verzet en geweldpleging
tegen de genoemde gezworenen welke het vee schutten, dat de verdachte Jan Pickenie liet grazen op
verboden terrein. Zie Dataschurk, record 2146, dossiernr. 166-15. Frans testeert op 11-12-1691.
Hierin is zijn zoon Evert zijn enige erfgenaam. Zijn kinderen Wouter en Jenneke, evenals zijn
overige, niet met name genoemde, kinderen krijgen ieder 2 koeien en een malder (150 dm3) rogge.
Zijn zoon Evert Franssen erft o.a. zijn kleding en de onroerende en overige roerende goederen met
dien verstande, dat Evert zijn vader gedurende diens leven zal onderhouden in kost en kleding.
