1727 Den 16 maart is de kerkenraat gelegt en naar aanroepinge van des Heeren H. Naam getreden tot de beroepinge als Jan te Bokkel, Gijsbert Prins verkooren Hendrik Egelink Hendrik Arentsen. In plaats van de afgaande diaconen Roeloff Hesselink en Jan Prins de jonge, verkoren Herman van Coeverden Herman Linkhoff Wessel ter Honnepe en zijn op gewoone tijd en plaats bevestigd.

De Nederduits-Gereformeerde gemeente was van 1613–1627 gecombineerd met die van Winterswijk. In het doopboek over 1790–1811 (DTB 2.2) komen ook kinderen voor, die gedoopt werden in de kerk te Bocholt (Boekholt) en in de RK kerk te Aalten.
De lidmaten zijn verdeeld over het dorp Aalten en de buurtschappen Barlo (Baerle), de Haart (Hordt), de Heurne (In die Heurne), IJzerlo (Est Iserloe, Est te Iseren, den Estieser, Estyzer), Lintelo (Linteloe), en Dale(n). Vanuit aangrenzend Münsters gebied kerkten er inwoners van het Ambt van Bocholt (Boeckholt). Inwoners van de buurtschap IJzerlo (in den Estijser) kerkten ook wel in Dinxperlo.
