Anje was een dochter van Johannes van Gend geboren 20 april 1866 te Utrecht. Hij was stoker in de Gasfabriek. Hij trouwde 28 februari 1891 te Leeuwarden met Geesje Meijer geboren 23 februari 1863 te Leeuwarden en ze is overleden 6 december 1896 te Utrecht op 27 jarige leeftijd. Johannes bleef achter met 3 kinderen. Op 27 oktober 1897 trouwde hij te Utrecht met Romkje Dijkstra geboren 3 april 1869 te Leeuwarden. wonende te Zuilen.

01- Theodorus van Gend geb 16 januari 1892 te Utrecht en overleden 23 mei 1961 te Utrecht op 69 jarige leeftijd. Hij was getrouwd Eggedina Timmer, met Jacoba van Raam en Gerarda Alida van Tergouw
02- Gelfke van Gend geb 23 mei 1893 te Utrecht en overleden 26 juni 1925 te Utrecht op 32 jarige leeftijd. Ze was getrouwd met Johannes Verhoeff.
03- Aletta van Gend geb 26 januari 1895 te Utrecht en overleden 5 juni 1966 te Utrecht op 71 jarige leeftijd. Ze was getrouwd met Antonius Lauffer.

04- Johannes Gerardus van Gend geb 21 juli 1903 te Utrecht. Hij was getrouwd met Petronella Johanna Theodora Kool.
05- Anje van Gend geb 10 april 1906 te Utrecht
