Willem is een zoon van Jan Bos overl 23 sept 1808 te Vlaardinger Ambacht. en was gehuwd met Antje van Berkel overl 26 november 1808 te Vlaardinger Ambacht. Jan was bouwman van beroep. Willem Jansz ging in ondertrouw op 28 januari 1789 te Vlaardingen met Arendje Jacobsdr Maan gedoopt 19 december 1766 te Vlaardingen. Zij kregen uit dit huwelijk 10 kinderen:
1 - Annetje Bos (16 augustus 1789)
2 -Maria Bos (7 november 1790)
3 -Neeltje Bos (23 september 1792)
4 -Jan Bos (26 september 1794)
5 -Neeltje Bosch (19 november 1796)
6 -Jacob Bos (7 januari 1799)
7 -Willem Bos (19 maart 1801)
8 -Mijnsje Bos (10 maart 1804)
9 -Arij Bos (1 maart 1806)
10- Pieter Bos (28 november 1808)
Op 12 september 1820 overleed Arendje en Willem bleef met minimaal 3 kinderen achter.
Op 19 mei 1822 huwde hij met Neeltje van Zanten in Vlaardinger Ambact en Babberspolder , geb 27 oktober 1793 te Maassluis en overleden op 17 juni 1849 te Vlaardingen. Zij kregen 3 kinderen:
1- Teuntje Bos (3 september 1825) De eerste vrouw van Gerrit Vons
2- Jakob Bos (23 augustus 1829)
3- Adrianus Bos (4 juli 1832)
