Arnold Hoegen Dijkhof is geboren op 12 november 1928 in Zutphen als derde kind van Arnold Hoegen Dijkhof en Helena de Vries. Hij had 3 broers: Hij ging trouwen met Aartje (Mop) Berghuis is geboren op 29 april 1932 in Vierhouten als jongste kind van Hendrik Berghuis en Jannetje van Dragt. Ze had 3 broers:

Ze hebben elkaar ontmoet tijdens hun werk in Hotel "De Mallejan" in Vierhouten. Henk en Mop zijn getrouwd op 27 januari 1954 in Nunspeet. De eerste jaren woonden ze aan de Waskolkweg in een zomerhuisje achter het huis van broer Gert-Jan.

Op 5 maart 2004 is Mop in het ziekenhuis in Zwolle overleden. Op 31 december 2007 is Henk in het ziekenhuis in Harderwijk overleden.

In 1972 ben ik bij Hotel "De Mallejan" in Vierhouten gaan werken als leerling in 1973 kwam Hendrikus Marius Hoegen Dijkhof weer bij de Hotel "De Mallejan" in Vierhouten werken en werd daar toen Ober Kelner, ik werkte in de keuken nooit is het bij mij opgekomen dat hij ergens in de verte familie kon zijn maar nu ik bezig ben met familie onderzoek kom je de vreemdste ontdekkingen tegen.
