Jonas was bediende op de grote vaart, woonde tot 1934 in Londen en kwam toen naar Rotterdam. Daar is hij op 17-06-1936 getrouwd. Hij was in 1941 grondwerker van beroep, woonde in Rotterdam en was in 1942 tewerkgesteld in het joodse werkkamp Linde. Hij isop 7 augustus 1942 naar kamp Westerbork overgebracht, zijn vrouw en dochter kwamen begin oktober 1942 vanuit Rotterdam. Het gezin is op 04-05-1943 naar Sobibor gedeporteerd en daar op 7 mei omgebracht.
