Notes about Ottokar I van Bohemen

Hij volgde in 1192 kort zijn vader op als hertog van Bohemen en werd definitief hertog van Bohemen in 1197, in afspraak met zijn broer Wladislaus Hendrik, die in ruil het markgraafschap Moravië verkreeg. In 1198 werd Ottokar I als koning erkend door Filips van Zwaben.

Ottokar huwde een eerste maal met met Adelheid van Meißen, dochter van markgraaf Otto de Rijke. Uit dit huwelijk werd Margaretha (ca. 1186-24 mei 1212) geboren, in 1205 getrouwd met Waldemar II van Denemarken

In 1199 huwde hij met Constance van Hongarije, de dochter van koning Béla III van Hongarije. Uit zijn huwelijk met Constance van Hongarije, had hij de volgende kinderen:

Anna (-1265), huwde in 1216 met Hendrik II van Silezië (-1241)
Blaschena (1210-1281)
Wenceslaus I van Bohemen (1205-1253)
H. Agnes van Bohemen (1211-1282)
Wladislaus, markgraaf van Moravië (1207-1227)
Przemysl, markgraaf van Moravië (1209-1239)
Jutta (1202-1230), huwde in 1213 met hertog Bernard van Karinthië (-1256).
