Gemeentearchief Rotterdam: Archief Hervormde Gemeente Barendrecht (inleiding inventaris): De 28e augustus 1809 verstrekte de kerkelijke gemeenschap aan twee gekozen leden de opdracht een ontwerp van een reglement voor de kerkelijke administratie te maken. Dit ontwerp heeft tot grondslag gediend voor een later door het gemeentebestuur voorgesteld reglement. Noch het ontwerp, noch de definitieve versie zijn helaas bewaard gebleven. De kerkelijke commissie is sedert 1812 niet meer benoemd, daar 'de heer Pleun de Raadt, burgemeester alhier, sinds dien tijd als fungerend, later als opperkerkmeester was opgetreden, met welke bevoegdheid is niet gebleken'.
