    In september 1977 werd op Stevinstraat 266 (de tuin daarvan lag bij die van het huis aan de Maastrichtsestraat) de Duitse werkgeversvoorzitter Hanss-Martin Sleyer vastgehouden. Dat werd pas in 2007 bekend gemaakt.
