    In 1802 maakt Pieter een reis naar Groenland met het schip de "Avontuur" van Cornelis Cardinaal, reder te Zaandam. De vangst bestaat uit: 1 walvis en 17 vatten spek. In 1803 maakt hij nogmaals een reis met de "Avontuur" naar Groenland. De vangst van die reis is echter onbekend. In 1805 koopt Pieter de bakkerij in Hollum uit de nalatenschap van Johannes Tjallings Swart voor 1850 gulden en 5 stuivers.
