Jacob en Eltje woonden van 1900 tot ca. 1920 aan de Busselterweg 11. Eltje verhuisde na het overlijden van Jacob in 1902 naar H-2785 . 2e huis na de afslag naar de Zwarteweg, waar ze tot haar overlijden in 1932 woonde.
Daarna woonde ze in bij Jan Pouwel Israëls en haar dochter Jacoba Tuit.H-2785 werd in 1877 gebouwd door Meeuwes Pieters Luchies en kwam vanaf 1919 eigendom van Eltje Jacobs Post, het pand werd in 1929 door Klaas Tuit gekocht, die het na verhuizing van Jacoba en Jan Pouwel naar Havelte afbrak, en zo zijn
bouwland uitbreidde.
