Geert Arents en Femmegien wonen van ca. 1741 tot ca. 1744 in Giethoorn. Zij worden daar als lidmaten ingeschreven; Geert 22 dec 1742 en Femmechien 22 oct 1741.
22 sep 1744 worden ze uitgeschreven naar Kolderveen.

Notes about Geert Arents Tuit

In de haardstedenregisters van Kolderveen uit 1754, 1764, 1774 is er sprake van Geert Tuit(en), en in 1784 is sprake van de weduwe van Geert Tuyte.
Geert is 21-06-1716 gedoopt te Staphorst en zoon van Arent Jans Vrom en Aaltjen Claas of Hendriks moet ik nog verder onderzoek na doen (Jan Johannes Tuit). Geert Arents komt 22-12-1742 aan te Giethoorn en vertrekt sept. 1744 naar Coldervee
n.
De volgorde van bezoeken der huisgezinnen bij betaling Roggepagt is dezelfde als het bezoek van de predikant in 1762 aan de gezinnen/ledematen en bij het Haardstedenregister, Hieruit kun je opmaken dat Geert Arents en Femmegien Bartelts Bot
ter dezelfde personen zijn dan Geert Tuit(en) en Femmegien Bartelts. in 1774 betaald Geert Tuiten 1/2 vat Rogge als pacht.
Uit de haardstedenregisters van voorgaande volgende jaren blijkt dat Geert in het voormalige huis van Wolter Jans Tuiten is getrokken. Het heeft er alle schijn van dat hij de naam Tuit dus overgenomen heeft van de boerderijnaam (naam van de
betreffende boerenplaats in de volksmond).
