She married George Henry Buck in 1916, in St James House, Fitzroy, Victoria. Married under the names Hilda Monaghan & Henry George Buck.

She lived with Gordon Henry Chandler. Marie and Gordon were partners until his death abt 1930. They never married, however were together from abt 1922 in Victoria, Australia. She called the children Chandler and they never knew their surname was Buck until they married, when she told them. Information supplied by C S Chandler.

She passed away in 1954, aged 73 years in Elsternwick, Victoria, Australia and was buried in Caulfield South, Victoria, Australia.
