Cornelia Johanna trouwde met Jan Mijnders. Jan had eerst een bloembollenbedrijfje met zijn broer Hendrik. Maar dat ging niet goed. Ze zijn er mee gestopt. Jan begon een “kruidenierszaak” in de Kanaalstraat ongeveer tegenover de Julianastraat.
Cornelia en Jan kregen drie zoons (Gerrit ,Goof en Jan) en vier dochters (Aag, Jo, Co en Cor) . Het was een huishouden van Jan Steen. Ze haalden van alles uit, maar deden ook veel goeds voor de armen.
