Maasgouw (Latijn: Pagus Mosarium, ook bekend onder de naam Masau) was de naam van een bestuurlijk en administratief gebied in het Frankische Rijk tussen Luik en Nijmegen.

De Maasgouw, soms ook Gouw genoemd, lag in het gebied tussen Aken, Wezet en Noord-Brabant. Bij de verdeling van het Frankische Rijk in 843 (Verdrag van Verdun) wordt Maastricht de hoofdstad van de Maasgouw. In 870 werd het gouw verdeeld in de Opper- en Neder-Maasgouw en na 900 viel de Maasgouw uiteen in losse koninkrijkjes en vorstendommen.
