    ·         Op 20 october 1914 vond er bij de notaris een scheiding plaats van de gemeenschappelijke boedel van Willem Runderkamp, Marijtje Meijer en Antje Koning. Het resultaat daarvan was, dat de oudste zoon uit het eerste huwelijk, Klaas Runderkamp, bijgenaamd 'Grote Klaas', het pand en het perceel grond eromheen aankocht.

            Maar 'Grote Klaas'was al bakker aan het Noordeinde. Omdat andere broers en zussen intussen ook al als zelfstandige ondernemers waren begonnen, mocht de jongste 'Wullempie', die tot dan toe steeds als knecht bij zijn vader had gewerkt, de winkel overnemen en het huis bewonen.

             Aan zijn halfbroer 'Grote Klaas' moest hij daarvoor maandelijks een bedrag aan huur afdragen. 'Wullempie'was toen net 20 jaar en bewonde in zijn eentje de woning. Hij had intussen wel verkering met Pietje Pelk, een dochter van de bekende bakker Hendrik Pelk van de Visserstraat. Op 9 october 1915 gingen zij naar het stadhuis in Edam en vier dagen later, op 13 october, bezegelden zij hun huwelijk in de Sint Vincentiuskerk. Zij waren toen respectievelijk nog maar 21 en 20 jaar oud.

    In 1938-1939 vond een grootscheepse verbouwing plaats van het pand aan de Haven. Men zegt, dat Wullempie een grote prijs had gewonnen in de loterij en dat hij daarmee de slagerij kon afkopen bij de eigenaar, zijn halfbroer "Grote Klaas'.

      ;      Toen het klaar was stond op dezelfde plaats een prachtige voor die tijd moderne woning en winkel aan Haven 1, met aan de achterzijde een flinke slachtplaats. Van hieruit werd jarenlang prettig gewinkeld.

            Uit het huwelijk van 'Wullempie' Runderkamp en Pietje Pelk, waren intussen negen kinderen geboren, vier meiden en vijf jongens, van wie twee in de voetsporen van hun vader stapten en ook slager werden. Dat waren Klaas Runderkamp, beter bekend onder de bijnaam 'De Mepper', en Cor Runderkamp, die later de eerste keurslager werd in Volendam. Hun broer Henk Runderkamp, van huis uit eigenlijk bakkersknecht, assisteerde zijn vader, en nam de zaak over, nadat 'Wullempie'zich daaruit meer en meer terugtrok. Henk kon de concurrentiestrijd volhouden tot ongeveer 1976-1977. Toen moest de zaak worden verkocht en werd deze overgenomen door Dirk Jonk 'Spijker', die er souvenirs en kerkattributen ging verkopen.
