Ma is opgegroeid in Overdinkel in een warm gezin. Al op jonge leeftijd ging ze werken in de

confectie. Zij heeft voor vele gelegenheden allerlei kleding gemaakt, zo ook haar trouwjurk die ze

droeg toen ze met pa trouwde in 1963. Samen kregen ze 3 kinderen en 8 kleinkinderen. Zij

waren het belangrijkste in haar leven. Altijd zorgzaam en belangstellend stondze voor ons klaar.

Zij was een sterke en wijze vrouw die pa en ons altijd in alles terzijde stond. Moeilijk was het dan

ook voor haar toen pa in december 2008 plotseling overleed. Toch heeft ze daarna de draad

weer opgepakt. Zij heeft veel vrijwilligerswerk gedaan, met name voer de kerk, en heeft daarmee

mede inhoud gegeven aan haar geloof. Ze had een groot vertrouwen in Maria. Ma was

bescheiden en een vrouw van weinig woorden: het gaat niet alleen om wat je zegt maar ook om

wat je niet zegt. Ze was de spil van ons gezin met als motto: 'wees lief voor elkaar'. Ze kon erg

genieten van de kleine dingen van het leven. Mooi vond ze het dat de kleinkinderen haar een

moderne oma noemden om haar computerkennis en de app-jes via haar smartphone. Heel graag

had ze nog langer in ons midden willen blijven maar dat heeft niet zo mogen zijn. Wij koesteren

alle mooie herinneringen."
