Hij trouwde 16-11-1918 in Edam met Stijntje Schokker (1899-1972), en zij kregen 14 kinderen. Zij woonden aan de Schippersgracht op nummer 12. Dirk Visser is 20-5-1975 in Purmerend overleden op 81-jarige leeftijd.
