    Ten jare duizend negen honderd, den vier en twintigsten Juli ten twee ure namiddag, verschenen voor ons Edmond De Poorter, Schepen, afgevaardigde Ambtenaar van den Burgerlijken Stand der gemeente Bornhem, provincie Antwerpen,
    Franciscus Spiessens, mandenmaker, oud zes en twintig jaren en Michaël pauwels, bakker, oud drij en zestig jaren, beiden woonachtig in deze gemeente, de eerstgenoemde zoon van den overledene en den tweeden kozijn, welken ons hebben verklaard dat gisteren om vijf uren en half des avonds op het veld in het gehucht Buitenland binnen deze gemeente overleden is Henricus Spiessens, daglooner, geboren te Bornhem, den twee en twintigsten Januari achttien honderd vier en veertig en daar woonachtig, zoon van Josephus Spiessens en van Coleta Braecke, beiden overleden te Bornhem, echtgenoot van Maria Ludovica Pauwels, huishoudster, ook woonachtig in deze gemeente.
    Wij hebben ons van voormeld overlijden verzekerd. Waarvan akte door ons ten Gemeentehuize in dubbel opgemaakt, en na voorlezing geteekend met de komparanten
