    Josephus Bruyns, daglooner oud een en dertig jaren geboren te Bornhem en woonachtig te Weert, welken ons vertoond heeft een kind van het vrouwelijk geslacht gisteren om acht uren 's avond geboren in deze gemeente van hem verklaerder en van zijne echtgenote Seraphina De mondt oud vier en dertig jaren hier geboren en aen welk kind hij verklaerd heeft te willen geven de voornamen van Maria Mathildis.
    De voormelde vertooning en verklaring gedaan ter tegenwoordigheid van Joannes Baptist De Kuyper veldwachter oud vijf en vijftig jaren en Joannes Benedictus Cleiren landbouwer oud vier en veertig jaren beiden woonachtig in deze gemeente.
    Waarvan akte, door ons ten Gemeentehuize in dubbel opgemaakt, en na voorlezing geteekend met de getuigen, de vader heeft verklaerd niet te kunnen schrijven bij gebrek van geleerdheid.

Ten jare duizend acht honderd vier en negentig, den vierden April ten vijf ure namiddag, zijn voor ons Philippus Vergauwen, Burgemeester Ambtenaar van den Burgerlijken Stand der gemeente Weert, provincie Antwerpen, openbaarlijk ten gemeentehuize verschenen, ter eene zijde:
Joannes Henricus Pauwels schipper, woonachtig in deze gemeente en alhier geboren den vijftienden Juli achttien honderd vijf en zestig blijkens het extrakt uit den akt van geboorte hierbijgevoegd, meederjarige zoon van Seraphinus Pauwels schipper oud vier en vijftig jaren en van Maria Francisca De roeck oud vier en vijftig jaren, gehuischen, woonachtig in deze gemeente hier tegenwoordig en toestemmende in het huwelijk van hunnen zoon;
En ter andere zijde:
Maria Mathildis Bruyns, dienstmeid wonende in deze gemeente en alhier geboren den zevende februaria achttien honderd acht en zestig, blijkens het extrakt uit den akt van geboorte hierbijgevoegd, meerderjarige dochter van Josephus Bruyns, oud zeven en vijftig jaren en van Seraphina De Mondt, oud zestig jaren landbouwers, gehuischen, wonende in deze gemeente hier tegenwoordig en toestemmende in het huwelijk van hunne dochter.
Welke comparanten ons hebben aanzocht over te gaan tot het sluiten des Huwelijks tusschen hen beraamd, en waarvan de afkondiging is gedaan geweest op de daartoe bestemde plaats in deze gemeente op den zondag van den achttien Maart laatstleden.
Geene tegenkanting ons wegens dit Huwelijk beteekend zijnde, recht doende aan het gemelde verzoek, na aan de partijen en de getuigen te hebben voorgelzen al de stukken ten dezes vereischt, alsmede het zesde hoofdstuk des vijfden titels van het burgerlijk wetboek over de wederzijdsche rechten en verplichtingen der echtgenooten, hebben wij gevraagd aan den toekommenden bruidegom en aan de toekommende bruid of zij zich willen nemen voor man en vrouw: ieder van hen, in het bijzonder, bevestigend geantwoord hebbende varklaren wij in den naam van de wet, dat door het Huwelijk vereenigd zijn Joannes Henricus Pauwels en Maria Mathildis Bruyns.
Onmiddelijk hebben de partijen contractanten ons verklaard dat er tusschen hen geene huwelijksvoorwaarden door Notaris zijn ontvangen.
Waarvan wij dezen akt hebben opgesteld in de tegenwoordigheid van Carolus Ludovicus De Geest winkelier oud zes en zeventig jaren, Franciscus Alexander Ysewijn zonder beroep, oud zes en vijftig jaren, Ludovicus De Boeck oud vijf en twintig jaren en Henricus Lemmens oud vier en twintig jaren beiden landbouwers, alle kennissen van den bruidegom en de bruid woonachtig in deze gemeente.
En hebben de bruidegom, zijne moeder en de bruid en de getuigen dezen akt benevens ons geteekend. De vader van de bruidegom en de ouders van de bruid hebben verklaard niet te kunnen schrijven bij gebrek van geleerdheid nagedane voorlezing
