Ten jare duizend negen honderd en vijf, den derden november ten twee ure namiddag, zijn voor ons Edmondus De Poorter, schepen, afgevaardigde Ambtenaar van den Burgerlijken Stand der gemeente Bornhem, arrondissement Mechelen, provincie Antwerpen, openbaarlijk ten Gemeentehuize verschenen, ter eene zijde:
Henricus De bruyn, landbouwer, woonachtig in deze gemeente en hier geboren den negentienden Juli achttien honderd vijf en zeventig, blijkens het uittreksel uit den akt van geboorte, hierbij gevoegd, ongehuwde meerderjarigen zoon van Eduardus De bruyn, oud acht en zestig jaren en van Maria Delphina Goiris, oud vijf en zestig jaren, landbouwers, gehuisschen, wonende in deze gemeente, beiden hier tegenwoordig en toestemmende in het huwelijk van hunnen zoon.
En ter andere zijde:
Catharina Van kerkhove, landbouwster, woonachtig in deze gemeente en hier geboren, den vijfden Januari achttien honderd vijf en zeventig, ongehuwde meerderjarige dochter van Ludovicus Van kerkhove, overleden te Bornhem, den elfden april negentien honderd en vier en van Coleta Broothaerts, ook overleden te Bornhem, den tweeden augustus negentien honderd en vijf, blijkens de uittreksels uit de akten van geboorte en overlijdens, hierbijgevoegd.
Welke comparanten ons hebben aanzocht over te gaan tot het sluiten des Huwelijks tusschen hen beraamd, en waarvan de afkondiging is gedaan geweest op de daartoe bestemde plaats in deze gemeente, op den zondag van den vijftienden october laatstleden.
Geene tegenkanting ons wegens dit Huwelijk beteekend zijnde, recht doende aan het gemelde verzoek, na aan de partijen en getuigen te hebben voorgelezen al de stukken ten dezes vereischt, alsmede het zesde hoofdstuk des vijfden titels van het burgerlijk wetboek over de wederzijdsche rechten en verplichtingen der echtgenooten, hebben wij gevraagd aan den toekommenden bruidegom en aan de toekommende bruid of zij zich willen nemen voor man en vrouw; ieder van hen, in het bijzonder, bevestigend geantwoord hebbende, verklaren wij in den naam van de wet, dat door het Huwelijk vereenigd zijn Henricus De bruyn en Catharina Van kerkhove.
Onmiddelijk hebben de partijen contractanten ons verklaard dat er tusschen hen geene huwelijksvoorwaarden door notaris zijn ontvangen.
Waarvan wij dezen akt in dubbel hebben opgesteld in de tegenwoordigheid van Julius Verhulst, dokwerker, oud een en dertig jaren, schoonbroeder van den bruidegom, Augustinus Boeykens, kuiper, oud drij en dertig jaren, Ludovicus De Maeyer, kuiper, oud vijf en veertig jaren en Henricus De Wachter, brouwersgast, oud vijf en twintig jaren, de drij laatstgenoemlde kennissen van den bruidegom en de bruid, alle vier woonachtig in deze gemeente.
En hebben de bruid en de getuigen dezen akt benevens ons geteekend, de bruidegom en zijne ouders hebben verklaard niet te kunnen schrijven bij gebrek van geleerdheid, na gedane voorlezing.
