    Auf diesem Friedhof - unmittelbar an der russischen Grenze - wurden seinerzeit über 800 Gefallene bestattet. Anfang der neunziger Jahre haben Veteranen diesen Friedhof provisorisch gesichert. Diese Fläche ist mit drei Hochkreuzen markiert. Seit 2008 gibt es eine Vereinbarung zwischen dem Volksbund und einer deutsch-ukrainischen Initiative zur Pflege dieser Anlage.

    Op 6 november 1942 verscheen in Storm een overzicht van gevallen / vermiste Nederlandse Waffen-SS'ers, waarin als rang Rottenführer wordt genoemd.

    * Op 28 juni 1941, zes dagen na de start van Operatie Barbarossa, trok "Wiking" als onderdeel van de Heeresgruppe Süd de Sovjet-Unie binnen. Na een in militair opzicht voorspoedige snelle opmars door Oekraïne kreeg de eenheid bij Dnjepropetrovsk haar eerste serieuze beproeving: het verdedigen en uitbreiden van een aan de oostelijke zijde van de Dnjepr gelegen bruggenhoofd. Hierbij werden grote verliezen geleden. De opmars ging vervolgens verder richting Rostov aan de Don, dat op 21 november 1941 werd veroverd op het Rode Leger. Slechts enkele dagen later moesten de Duitse troepen als gevolg van een groot tegenoffensief de stad alweer verlaten. In het daarop volgende half jaar lag "Wiking" in de zogeheten Miusstelling. Ondanks de bittere kou was het aantal verliezen deze periode gering.
