n werd op 2 februari 1921 in Steenderen geboren en woonde in Wijchen. In 1944 was hij 23 jaar en werkte hij als bakkersknecht bij de firma Jan Berben. Hij passeerde op 16 september 1944  het huis van de familie Janssen aan de Kasteellaan, waar o.a. toen zijn vriendin Bets Janssen woonde. Daar sloeg een Duits projectiel in dat hem en twee anderen zwaar verwondde: de vrouw des huizes Johanna Janssen-Jansen en haar dochter Nel Janssen. Moeder Janssen-Jansen overleed daags erna en Bert Teunissen drie weken later op 10 oktober 1944, beiden in het Canisiusziekenhuis in Nijmegen. Alleen dochter Nel Janssen herstelde van haar verwondingen en kon na een maand het ziekenhuis weer gezond verlaten. De broer van Bert Teunissen Wilhelmus Andreas is als dienstplichtig soldaat in Putjong (Nederlands-Indie) op 19 december 1948 om het leven gekomen.
