Op heden, den negentienden Julij, achttienhonderd zes en twintig, des avonds te zeven uren, compareerde voor mij Lambertus ten Hoorn, ambetenaar der Gemeente Hoogeveen, belast met de werkzaamheden der Burgelijken stand te aldaar.

Frederik Hendrikus van Heul (Huil)

oud negen en veertig jaren, Grutter van beroep, woonachtig te Hoogeveen en Adriaan......van Kel oud tweeendertig jaren, arbeider van beroep, woonachtig te Hoogeveen, de eerste...... en de tweede buren van de overledene; dewelke verklaarden, dat Jan ten Kley, woonachtig te Hoogeveen, gemeente van dezelfde naam, van beroep schipper...., weduwnaar van Anna Roelofs Jeulen, zoon van Hendrik ten Kleij, en van Elisabeth Hartmans, van welke hij geboren is in de gemeente Hoogeveen in den jaren zeventien honderd vijfenvijftg, den achtienden dezer maand 's-middags te vier uren, ten (schoonzoon) huize (Henk de Huiter) Wijk A nr.3 in de gemeente Hoogeveen in de ouderdom van een en zeventig jaren is overleden.

En hebben de comparanten deze acte, na behoorlijke voorlezing van dezelve, nevens mij ondertekend.

Het momberprotocol van 17 september 1807 is niet opgemaakt omdat Anna Jeulen was overleden, want die was al begraven op 1 augustus 1804. Het gaat om de erfenis van grootmoeder Roelofje Bruntingh, begraven 16 september 1807.
Aangezien Jan Hendriks ten Kleij grasvellig was, probeerde hij zijn schuldeisers buitenspel te zetten.
Dus liet hij mombers aanstellen over zijn kinderen, waarbij het erfdeel werd doorgesluisd.
Hij was dus niet belast met het beheer en had het niet onder zich en kon zich wentelen in (on)schuld.
