bron: kwartierstaat Gerrit Ruiben ten Hove: Op 28-11-1900 komt de familie ten Hove uit Rijssen in Enter wonen in het huis aan de Hoge Brink, voordien bewoond door zijn vrouws oom Gerrit de Wilde.
Dit huis met schuur, erf, bouw- en weiland werd voor 2530 gulden gekocht, uit een publieke verkoop op 24-4-1900 van de gezamelijke eigenaren, Gerrit ten Brinke Jannesz. en Jan ter Steege )* Aldus de akte nr. 8460 van notai Poelie te Wierden.

)* Hendrik Kolhoop vermeldt ook nog Jan de Wilde Gzn. en Evert ten Bloemendal te St. Delden als eigenaar.

In 1900 is Gerrit Willem ten Hove "de Oale Klitse", met zijn van origine Enterse vrouw, Johanna de Wilde (van de Jeènt'n) van Rijssen naar Enter verhuisd. Voordien had de heer ten Hove in Rijssen een bakkerszaak. Toen echter in Rijssen de Coöperatie kwam, werd daar de concurrentie te groot en de spoeling te dun. De Enterse afkomst van mevrouw ten Hove en het feit dat in Enter enig erfgoed vrijkwam, waren mede aanleiding voor de verhuizing naar Enter. Het huis (pand 0018) op de foto was door Schuitemaker "Brouwsmesselder" gebouwd. Ook in Enter exploiteerde de heer ten Hove aanvankelijk een bakkerij. Voor het linker raam is nog dat typische houten rooster te zien dat bakkers vroeger voor de ruiten hadden om deze te beschermen tegen bakplaten die anders gemakkelijk door de ruiten schoven. Op de foto de dames Jenne en Hanna ten Hove, geboren in respectievelijk 1896 en 1898 (foutief!), op deze foto dus 16 en 14 jaar oud. Je zou echt zeggen dat ze ouder waren, maar de klederdracht vertekent het beeld.Jenne trouwde later naar Rijssen en ging vanaf toen als mevr. Smit-ten Hove door het leven.Janna trouwde met Jans Pluimers (Zweers-Jan) en woonde later even verderop aan de Dorpsstraat 39. (Zeer vermoedelijk zijn de jongetjes op de foto de zes-jarige Gerrit en de vier-jarige Gerrit Jan)

bron: kwartierstaat G.R. ten Hove: Gerrit kwam in 1958 bij een dochter van Berend Eshuis en Aaltje en Hove op bezoek, omdat ze erg ziek was.Toen de dochter, die licht dementerend was, niet helemaal begreep wie er op bezoek kwam, zei de kleindochter dat het de voorzanger was. Gerrit begon spontaan een psalm te zingen en dat maakte dat hij weer meteen werd herkend.
