In 1733 is Jan Willems weduwnaar van Jenneken Jansen aan "den Borkent" op de Borkel onder Rijssen.
Het echtpaar blijft eerst op "Borkent" onder Elsen wonen en sticht tussen 29-08-1749 en 12-12-1751 een nieuwe katerstede op de Borkel onder Holten. Deze nieuwe boerderij gaat eerst "oude Borkent" (1751) of "kleine Borkent (1779) heten en wordt later"Trompers" genoemd. Vroegste vermelding van "Trompers" is 17-08-1760 en de naam is afgeleid van bijnaam 'Tromp Jan' van Jan Willems Borkent.
