    CLARKSVILLE - Oliver Theodore Freerks, 96, of Clarksville, died Thursday, June 15, at Community Nursing Home, Clarksville, of natural causes.
    He was born Aug. 28, 1909, near George, son of Harm and Tefja Cordes Freerks. He married Violet Wilken Dec. 12, 1944, in Geneva, Neb.
    He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was active duty in Puerto Rico, Wyoming, California, Utah, Kansas and Guam. Mr. Freerks farmed several farms in Butler and Floyd counties, retiring to Clarksville in 1972.
    Survived by: his wife; a son, Allen of Plainfield; two daughters, Linda (Brad) Ellison of Fredericksburg and Patsy Freerks of Waverly; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
    Preceded in death by: a grandson; and 14 brothers and sisters.
    Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Church of Christ, Pleasant Valley, with burial in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, both in rural Clarksville
