She is married to Edgar William Elliott.
They got married on June 19, 1937 at Winnipeg (Manitoba-Canada), she was 29 years old.
CATHERINE (KITTY) ELLIOTT
Catherine Mary Elliott died peacefully on May 29, 2002 at Donwood Manor. Kitty was born in Hilversum, the Netherlands, daughter of Adrianus Albertus Meddens and Christina Wilhelmina Duijvetter on May 8, 1908. Kitty was the youngest of four daughters. Her sisters were Tina, Johanna and Dena.
The Meddens family immigrated to Canada in 1912, literally on the next ship after the Titanic. After graduating from St. Johns High School, Kitty worked at Wilson Stationery company where she met her future husband Edgar William Elliott. Kitty and Ed were married June 2, 1937. Kitty was an avid five-pin bowler and represented Manitoba twice at the Western Canadian Championships.
Following Edgars death in 1960, Kitty went back to work at Robinson & Webbers retiring in 1984 after 22 years. Kitty is survived by her two sons, Wayne of Winnipeg and Dennis of New York City. Kitty will be fondly remembered by her life-long friend Ida Dambrink, niece Joan (Gordon) Cox and nephew Richard Sulkers.
