11 juni 2005 - Stoffels-afstammelinge Marjo Donker heeft ontdekt dat de oude schoenmakersleest van ons aller voorvader Evert Stoffels (1809-1901) waarschijnlijk nog bestaat en bij een familielid van haar wordt bewaard. Men wist wel dat de leest van een 'oude opa' was, maar wie die 'opa' was, bleef onbekend. "Het kwartje is gevallen", zegt Marjo, "nu we weten dat Evert Stoffels uit Elburg onze voorvader is, en dat hij een schoenmakerij dreef". De leest moet nog wel definitief worden opgespoord, in de hoop dat hij bij recente verhuizingen niet is verdwenen, maar als dat is goed gegaan, zijn we weer een bijzondere vondst rijker! Met smart wachten we dan op een mooie foto, of op een daadwerkelijke bezichtiging!
