In 1886 komt het gezin in Sloten wonen, Janna met haar broers Marinus en Pieter en haar zusje Pieternella. Haar oudste broer, Cent Moerland, vervult zijn plicht voor de Nationale Militie op het wachtschip “prins van Oranje” te Hellevoetsluis. Janna is de zus van Pieter Moerland ( man van haar schoonzus Jacoba J Elmers).
-Haar moeder, Pieternella van Beveren, komt na de dood van heer man, Karel Moerland, inwonen bij haar dochtert Janna aan de Ringweg F82 (voorheen Overbrakerweg 256).
