Hilligje trouwde, ongeveer 29 jaar oud, op 05-02-1920 in Hoogeveen [bron: Huwelijksakte Hoogeveen #7] met Justus van Voorst Van Beest, ongeveer 38 jaar oud. Justus is geboren omstreeks 1882 in Beusichem, zoon van Rudolph Elias van Voorst Van Beest en Geertruida Johanna Van Waardt. Justus is weduwnaar van Susanna Maria Johanna Westenberg (ovl. vóór 1920).
