    Op de dag van de Eerste H. Mis van Arnold Driessen, woonde hij met zijn ouders aan de Steenweg (Maaseikersteenweg) het Ouderhuis staat er nog.

    Arnold Driessen werd op 21 juli 1894 te Stein (Nl) geboren.Van 1908 tot 1915 volgde hij middelbaar onderwijs aan de apostolische school Ste Marie der Paters Montfortanen te Schimmert.

    Na een jaar noviciaat te Meerssen werd hij op 15 augustus 1916 Montfortaan.Van 1916 tot 1922 studeerde hij filosofie en theologie te Oirschot en hij werd op 10 juni 1922 te Den Bosch door Monseigneur Diepen tot priester gewijd.

    Hij werd benoemd voor de Shire-missie in Nyasaland (tegenwoordig Malaëi).

    Hij werkte achtereenvolgens op de volgende missieposten:

    1922: Nguludi 1924: Nankhunda 1926: Neno 1927: Mwanza 1929: Nguludi, leraar aan de normaalschool: 1931: Nguludi, raadsheer van Mgr. Auneau en directeur van de normaalschool

    Hij overleed op 25 januari 1937 te Blantyre en werd te Nguludi begraven
