Notes about Aafje Kreuk

Aafje moet een markante vrouw zijn geweest. Ze is opgegroeid in Ouderkerk a/d IJssel. Ze moest niets hebben van het Katholieke geloof en ook niet van doktoren en vroedvtouwen. Toen haar zoon Teunis (hij had een spraakgebrek) slachtoffer werd van plagerij gaf zij zijn belagers een zodanige afstraffing dat zij een boete of 2 weken celstraf kreeg, zij koos de cel.
Als haar eerste 2 kleinkinderen katholieij waren gedoopt (daar was sprake van) dreigde ze zich in de Gouwe te verdrinken
