Dijksen.
De doopsgezinde afkomst van de familie Dijksen heeft de samenstelling van de stamboom aanzienlijk bemoeilijkt. Door hun betrekkelijk vermogende staat komen de Dijksen's wel vaak in de notariële archieven voor. Jan Cornelisz Dijksen en Augustijn Cornelisz Dijksen (geb. resp. in 1685 en 1687) bezaten land in de omgeving van De Waal. Augustijn trad ook op als doopsgezind leraar. Waarschijnlijk waren zij zoons van Cornelis Jansz Dijkse, die mogelijk weer een zoon was van Jan Cornelisz Dijcks, die in 1663 als eigenaar van land bij Dijkmanshuizen en in 1670 als eigenaar van land bij De Waal wordt genoemd. Tenslotte wordt in 1623 nog een zekere Cornelis Dijcksz als landbezitter bij Dijkmanshuizen vermeld. Dat doet vermoeden, dat de naam dezelfde betekenis heeft als Van Dijk of Dijker.
Naar Texelse begrippen zeer gefortuneerd waren de afstammelingen van Pieter Jacobsz Dijksen en Trijntje Harmannus Zuidewind.
Een rooms-katholieke tak van de familie Dijksen is al in de 18de eeuw uitgestorven. Deze ontstond aldus: Jan Cornelisz Dijksen (geb. ca 1660), zelf doopsgezind, trouwde met Grietje Gerrits uit De Koog, die katholiek was. Hun dochter Martje, die in 1722 huwde met Cornelis Simonsz Veeger uit De Koog (rk), kreeg tien kinderen, van wie de zoon Jan (geb. 1739) Jan Cornelisz Dijksen heette.
