Neeltje was binnen 10 jaar twee keer weduwe en had 4 zoons en een dochter, de oudste 9 en de jongste een paar maanden. In 1741 liet zij een nieuwe hoeve Bouwlust aan de Lagendijk 88 bouwen, die zij met haar oudste zoon Gerrit betrok. Op 16 februari 1765 maakte zij haar testament, Gerrit en Rookje de Hen kregen Bouwlust met 22 mergen bouw- en zaailand voor f 3200,- en verder nog 4 mergen 300 roeden aan de Kruisweg. Zoon Huig krijgt de hoeve aan de andere kant van de dijk + 12 mergen + 3 mergen land voor f 1200,-.
