Omdat de ouders van Johanna reeds overleden zijn, wordt toestemming gegeven door de directie van de momboirkamer der stand Utrecht [Bron2].

Op 1 december 1765 gaan Aart en Johanna in ondertrouw te Utrecht [Bron3]. De huwelijkse afkondigingen worden te Arnhem gedaan [Bron4 (de streepjes in de kantlijn geven aan dat er drie afkondigingen zijn gedaan)]. Uiteindelijk trouwen Aart Brandseen Johanna Marrebach op 25 december 1765 in de Janskerk te Utrecht [Bron3].

De edele achtbare heeren gecommitteerdens ter directie van de momboir kamer der stad Utrecht als voogden over Johanna Merbach minderjarige nagelaten dochter van Simon Merbach en Petronella Uitendijk echtelieden hebben geconsenteert gelijk haar ed. achtb. consenteren bij dezen in 't huwelijk van dezelve Johanna Merbach met Aart Brantse minderjarig jongman, dat vervoegens de huwelijksgeboden worden aangetekent ende gewoone proclamatien geschieden
