Jacobus Sieba, steensjouwer, won. te altbom, 41 jaar; Gerrit Jansen, kleremaker, won. kerk princegracht 32, 37 jaar], tr. Maartje Cornelis Groot Beemster [1] [2] 13.9.1807 [get. Ferdinand Kipshagen, Broekhuijzen etc], geb. Volendam en won. Wijde Wormer. 1 kind.

Cornelis Bloothooft koopt in 1812 voor f 12.390 dijkkavel 9 in de Beemster van zijn broers en zusters en neemt er een hypotheek van f 6000 voor op. Was dit een te zware last of werd het bedrijf getroffen door een ramp? In 1823 verkoopt hij het geheel aan Pieter Wortel en vertrekt met vrouw en kind naar Amsterdam. Daar overlijdt hij 10 jaar later in 1833 als (steen)sjouwer. De aangevers weten geen ouders te melden. Dat duidt op de enorme en eenzame overgang van het platteland naar de stad waar het oude sociale netwerk geheel verloren is. Een boer uit gegoede familie die zijn laatste jaren waarschijnlijk in armoede aan de Westerdoksluis in Amsterdam slijt.

Geertje Bloothooft of Geertruida Bloothoofd werd op een boerderij in de Beemster geboren maar ging op jeugdige leeftijd als enig kind met haar ouders mee naar Amsterdam. Haar sociale milieu wordt dan dat van bouwarbeiders. Haar vader slijt zijn laatste jaren als sjouwer, haar zoon wordt pakhuisknecht en haar tweede man is opperman. Volgens de bevolkingsregistratie van 1869 is ze weduwe die woont in de Palmstraat 99.
