Deze Jacob emigreerde in 1909 naar Amerika met zijn twee oudste zoo ns. In 1911 kwam de rest van het gezin. Hij was daar eigenaar van ee n schoenenzaak en verkocht zowel nieuwe als gebruikte schoenen in de L eonard Street in Grand Rapids in Michigan.
