    Wilhelm Heinrich von Grolman, [...]. Hjj werd geboren te Berlijn den 28sten Februarij 1781, studeerde te Göttingen en te Halle in de regten, was eenigen tijd in regterlijke betrekkingen werkzaam, doch werd bij het uitbarsten van den bevrijdingsoorlog van 1813 als majoor bij den landstorm geplaatst. Hij onderscheidde zich in verschillende gevechten zoozeer, dat hem het IJzeren Kruis van de tweede klasse werd toegekend. Daarna keerde hij terug tot het korps der regterlijke magt, erlangde daarbjj de hoogste waardigheden, werd eindelijk geheimraad in werkelijke dienst en lid van den staatsraad, en overleed den 1sten Januarjj 1856.
