    Janet Louise Switzer, 79, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 5:43 p.m. EST Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was a devoted homemaker.

    She was born June 20, 1940, in Paris, the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Evard) Crawford, Jr. She married Charles H. Switzer on October 14, 1988, in Terre Haute. He preceded her in death November 28, 2016.

    Survivors include three children, Leo (Lori) Shanks II of Kansas, Illinois, and Cindy (Bob) Hukill and Debbie Crawford both of Paris; four step-children, Jeff (Mary) Switzer of Paris, Brian (Bobbie Jo) Switzer of Paris, Randy (Becky) Switzer of Brocton, Illinois, and Kim Sanders of Paris, Illinois; a sister, Jean Rappe of Overland Park, Kansas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Evard; a sister, Kay Richert; and a granddaughter, Nicole Dunn.

    Mrs. Switzer was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.

    For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

    SERVICE INFORMATION

    Services celebrating her life were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Templeton Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Duke officiated, and burial followed in Edgar Cemetery. Casket bearers were Donnie Carroll, Bob Hukill, Steve Jones, Damon Morecraft, and Brian and Ferron Switzer. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
