    Am 8. Mai1953 fand die Gründungsversammlung im Gasthaus Mereien statt. Hier ein Auszug aus dem damaligen Protokoll:
    Die Gründungsversammlung "stand unter der Leitung von Servaes Hermann, welcher es verstand, durch seine Worte den alten Sportgeist in unseren Sportfreunden wieder wachzurufen und vor allem die Jugend für sich zu gewinnen. Nach seiner Eröffnungsrede fand unter reger Anteilnahme aller Anwesenden die Wahl des Vorstandes statt.
    Hierbei wurde zum 1. Vorsitzenden Metz Nikolaus einstimmig gewählt. 2. Vorsitzender wurde Born Heinrich. In den Vorstand wurden ferner gewählt: 1. Kreutz Alfons, 2. Schmitt Johann und 3. Kreutz Johann. Schriftführer und Rechnungsprüfer wurde Metz Alfred. Zum Kassenwart wurde gewählt: Mereien Egon. Als Jugendwart nimmt sich der Jugend an: Servaes Hermann.
    Die Versammlung verlief in echter Sportskameradschaft und es läßt sich daraus ersehen, daß das Interesse an der Neugründung des Sportvereins groß ist. An die Jugend appelliere ich hierdurch, daß besonders sie immer den rechten Kameradschaftsgeist aufweisen und ihren Jugendwart Sportkamerad Servaes in jeder Weise unterstützen. Denn nur so ist es gewiß, daß unsere Jugend zu echten Sportlern heranreift und Neidenbach in jeder Hinsicht würdig vertreten wird.
