Miss Emma Hudler, of Muscatine, has learned of the marriage of her nephew, Lt. John Pendleton Hudler, U. S. M. C., son O'f Mr. and Mrs. Earl S. Hudler and Patricia Frances Servaes, daughter of Mrs. Jules R. F. Servaes, of San Francisco, which took place on May 29 at the Christ Episcopal church in Alameda. The bridegroom's father is a former Muscatine resident. The Rev. Henry M. Shires, rector, performed the ceremony. Little Anne and Julia Moffatt, nieces of the bride, were flower girls, and the couple was attended by Marie Jane Phelps, Salt Lake City, the maid of honor, and Lan Charmon, a former business associate in the Pan American Airways, was best man. The bride was given in marriage by- her brother-in-law, Phillip J. Mctffatt. Her gown was of old fashioned design cut with high neckline, long sleeves and bouffant skirt which swept into a full train. Her veil, of fingertip length was caught in a Juliet cap effect and she carried a white prayer book, owned by her sister, Mrs. Phillip Moffatt, 'from which cascaded white gardenias and bouvardia. The reception was at the Servaes home. Lt. and Mrs. Hudler .are living at the marine base in San Diego. Prior to enlisting in the marines Hudler attended 1toe University of Washington, where he was affiliated with Beta Theta Phi fraternity. Later he attended and was graduated from the United Air Lines school of aeronautics of Oakland 1 , Calif. He recently completed his flying course at Corpus Christi, Tex.
