    Haar leven lang heeft zij gegeven. Zij gaf zich geheel aan haar gezin: zorgen noch moeiten waren haar teveel, als zij anderen kon helpen of troosten, als zij goed kon doen. En toen O.L. Heer twee van haar kinderen vroeg voor Zijn dienst, gaf ze Hem blijde terug, wetend dat het zó goed was. Met droefheid, maar bezield door de kracht Gods, deed zij afstand van haar geliefde oudste dochter, toen die geroepen werd om in Afrika God te dienen en de mensen te helpen in hun nood. Maar vooral gaf zij zich tijdens haar laatste smartelijke ziekte. Geen klacht kwam over haar lippen: heldhaftig leed zij, terwijl God haar louterde als goud, dat door het vuur gaat. Met verlangen zag zij op het laatst haar dood tegemoet, die haar moest binnenleiden in de eeuwige glorie, vol vertrouwen op God, dat Hij de achterblijvenden zou blijven beschermen, zoals Hij steeds haar tot steun geweest was.
    Gebed: O God, Die vergiffenis schenkt en het heil der mensen liefhebt, wij smeken Uw goedertierendheid: laat de ziel van Uw dienares Anna, op de voorbede van de H. Maria, altijd Maagd, en van al uw Heiligen, tot deelneming aan de eeuwige zaligheid geraken. Door Christus, onze Heer. Amen.
