    In 1884 begon Adrianus Huijbregts een bakkerij in de vroegere Emmastraat. Na zijn huwelijk met Lucy Ooms werd met de beginletters van zijn voornaam en die van beider achternamen de bedrijfsnaam aho gevormd. Vanaf 1890 maakten ze ontbijtkoek en banket. Later werd dit uitgebreid met een groothandel in suikerwerken en chocolade. In 1910 werd aho op het oude adres overgenomen door N. Claassen. In 1957 verhuisde het bedrijf naar Goirle, waar speculaas en biscuit werd geproduceerd. In 1974 werd aho overgenomen door de firma Hooimeijer, later bekend als Continental Bakeries. In 2008 werd de Goirlese vestiging wegens een teruglopende productie gesloten
