In de map van de Boedelrederaars van Jan Hendriksen van den Berg en Marretje Klaase Focker, zit ook een nota van Roelof Gerritsz Post, d.d. 6 november 1793, n.l.
"Jan Hendriksen van den berg debet aan roel gerritsen Post Van het wegen van een melkkoe van het Jaar 1793 de Somma van 9 gulden. Ontfangen den 6 nov: (ondertekent) Rol gerisen Post".

De Franse bezetting van Naarden hielden veel strooptochten, waaronder ook in Bussum. Veel Bussumers verzochten in
1812 om schadeloosstelling. Roelof gaf op dat zijn huis met alle daarin staande goederen verbrand was. Zijn schade bedroeg fl. 850,-.
