Jan Willemszn. Corvin trouwde op 10 april 1689 met jannetje Jorisdr. de Boer. Zij kregen samen 10 kinderen.
Jan was een man die wel enig aanzien had in Scheveningen.
Hij was kerkmeester en had een eigen graf in de Scheveningse Kerk, waar diverse van zijn kinderen werden begraven.
Alleen mensen met geld konden zich een graf in de kerk veroorloven, de gewone vissersbevolking werd buiten op het kerkhof bij de kerk begraven.
Mogelijk kwam Jan in goede doen door zijn huwelijk met Jannetje.
Zijn schoonvader Joris Jacobse de Boer was stuurman.
Een stuurman (tegenwoordig schipper) was toen meestal ook de eigenaar van het schip.
Ook schoonvader joris Jacobse had een eigen graf in de kerk.
