Notes about Krijn van der Kaaij

Ook Cryn van der Kaaij en Quirinus van der Kaaij genoemd. Zijn overlijden werd op 2 Augustus 1768 door zijn zoon Alexander van der Kaaij aangegeven. Hij is degene die de familie van der Kaaij in 's-Gravezande (ZH) gevestigd heeft.
Van hem werd een akte van indemniteit in het gemeente archief van 's-Gravenhage (ZH) aangetroffen waarbij deze gemeente zich op 22 Oktober 1736 garant verklaarde voor weder opneming ingeval van in armoede geraken van hem. In deze akte werd hij Quirinus van der Kaaij genoemd.
Hij heeft waarschijnlijk ook enige tijd te Westzaan gewoond. Zoon van Sander Gijsbertzn. (ook Alexander van der Kay genoemd) en Asselijntje van Tuijl (ook Asselyna en Asselina genoemd).
Akte van Imuniteit, 's-Gravenhage, d.d. 22 Oktober 1736:
Wij Mrs. Hendrik van Slingeland en Jacob van Assendelft, Scheepenen van 's Gravenhage, oirconden eenen ijgelijk ende Certificeeren mits desen dat voor ons gekomen ende erscheenen sijnde Ed: Agtb. Heeren Burgemeesteren deser Steede, dewelke verklaarden haar te stellen tot Borgen ten behoeve van de Diaconie van 's Gravesande, belovende indien Quirinus van der Kaaij out omtrent vijf en twintig Jaaren, tot armoede mogte geraken deselve wederom alhier in den Hage te Sullen admitteeren. Des datum den22 October 1736.
Naast zoon Willem (1745) zijn er nog 10 kinderen.
