Hier nog een verhaal wat best wel wat uitzoekerij geweest is . Pierre scheipers geboren te Stabroek in 1861 die huwt met Joanna Lenaerts uit Kapellen . Ze trekken naar Lille en Roubaix in Frankrijk en beginnen daar een hotel . Het gaat ze daar niet goed, want ze krijgen tegenslag op tegenslag . Ze krijgen daar 6 kinderen . Hun eerste zoon Germaine sterft aan het eind van wereldoorlog 1 in Saarbrücken Duitsland . De 2e zoon sterft door oorlogsgeweld in Lille . de 3e zoon Maurice sterft ook al jong , de 4e zoon Marcel wordt door een Duitse schildwacht dood geschoten . In 1914 wordt het hotel gebombardeerd en Pierre (Petrus ) komt hierbij te overlijden . Heel die tak Scheipers die vol goede moed naar Frankrijk trok, is daar door extreme tegenslagen en oorlogsgeweld aan hun eind gekomen.
In Lille (F) is nu nog steeds een Rue Scheipers.
